Last Eight In: Utah, Arkansas, Pittsburgh, Clemson, Houston, Kansas State, Michigan State, Providence
First Eight Out: TCU, Northwestern, Oklahoma State, Mississippi, Illinois State, Texas A&M, California, Texas Tech
Could this be the year Northwestern finally earns a trip to the NCAA Tournament? We have been down this road many times before and we currently have the Wildcats as one of the first teams out, but there is reason for hope in Evanston. The Wildcats picked up a decent road win against Nebraska on Sunday and are now sitting at 13-4 overall and 2-2 in Big Ten play. Up next for Coach Chris Collins and company is yet another winnable home game, this time against Rutgers. With four of their first five conference games on the road, starting 3-2 would be huge. Of course, there are much tougher games coming, at home and on the road, so reaching .500 in Big Ten action, which should be enough to make the NCAA Tournament, is still a tall order for this squad.
