Florida further strengthened its case for the number one overall seed in the NCAA Tournament after sweeping Florida State and having little trouble with Arkansas this weekend. If the Gators win their first SEC Tournament, it could be the final win that they need to secure the top spot in the NCAA Tournament. Michigan rolled over Rutgers to another three game sweep and claimed their ninth consecutive Big Ten Conference regular season championship. The key for the Wolverines will be their ability to stay consistent offensively and beat a quality team like Minnesota if they were to cross paths with the Golden Gophers in the Big Ten Conference Tournament. UCLA with their sweep of Utah in Salt Lake City, which is never easy, now has to patiently wait and see if they can get a little bit of help during conference tournament play this week in order to sneak into a top eight national seed. Washington and LSU had a highly competitive three game series this weekend down in Baton Rouge. Allie Walljasper’s walk-off solo homerun in the bottom of the ninth inning gave the Tigers a 5-4 win, clinching the series for LSU two games to one. This series should prove to be highly beneficial for both programs as they move forward in postseason play. As far as the bubble is concerned if Boston College can make some noise in the upcoming ACC Conference Tournament, the door is open for them to play their way into the field.
