Things can change very quickly in conference play and there was certainly plenty of surprises around the country. Baylor lost their first game of the season against Oklahoma State. The Cowgirls followed that up with a shocking loss at Iowa State. In the Big Ten Northwestern went on the road and fell to a relatively bad Penn State team. But the big upset in the Big Ten came when Ohio State went to Maryland and handed the Terps their first loss in Big Ten play. Perhaps the biggest upset of them all came in the SEC where Auburn mounted a fierce comeback to beat Kentucky 66-61. That win moves Auburn to 11-3 overall. While the nonconference slate is not impressive at all, Auburn is in the NCAA Tournament picture now if they can keep winning home games against good SEC teams.
