The South Point Thanksgiving Shootout in Las Vegas provided some interesting matchups. Most notable was Texas A&M taking on Ohio State. The Buckeyes, led by Kelsey Mitchell’s school record tying 42 points, knocked the Aggies from the ranks of the unbeatens. The previous day, Texas A&M beat Cal in a very impressive showing. Looking down the bracket a ways, Syracuse beat Washington 66-62 in a game that could have pretty big ramifications come March. The Huskies followed the loss up with a 77-73 victory over Texas Tech, but UW still needs a signature win. With the way Kelsey Plum is playing, they will get one sooner or later. And perhaps sooner is exactly right; they play Oklahoma on Sunday.
