The story of the first weekend of the college basketball season was upsets by small school teams over some quality major conference teams. Squads like Wisconsin, UCLA, North Carolina State and Georgetown fell to seemingly inferior opponents. But it is a little early to overreact, so all of those squads remain in our projected field of 68. But the margin for error is slimmer for these schools that are getting off to a slow start. Yet, those losses could long be forgotten by March.
