Last Eight In: Temple, Tulsa, Oklahoma State, Boise State, Mississippi, Indiana, BYU, LSU
First Eight Out: Texas, Miami, UCLA, Rhode Island, Texas A&M, Old Dominion, Iona, Illinois
In the end, the American Athletic Conference has turned out to be quite interesting. Temple and Tulsa are our last two teams in the tournament right now and both play in the AAC semifinals on Saturday. Temple faces off against SMU and Tulsa goes up against Connecticut. The difference between those two is that the Owls are supposed to lose that game to SMU. A loss certainly does not help, but it does not hurt too much either. Meanwhile, a loss by Tulsa and it’s not a good loss. That would move the Golden Hurricane to the wrong side of the bubble and give a little more hope to teams like Texas, Miami and UCLA.
