First Eight Out: Oklahoma State, Cincinnati, Mississippi, North Carolina State, Davidson, George Washington, Pittsburgh, Alabama
It was a crazy week in the ACC. Lots of teams had massive wins, followed by disappointing losses, or vice versa. Notre Dame grabbed a huge home win over Duke on Wednesday night only to fall at Pitt. Duke, meanwhile, went on the road after that loss and knocked Virginia from the ranks of the unbeaten. And then there was the thrilling game between Louisville and North Carolina. The Cardinals mustered a massive comeback to beat the Tar Heels in overtime. At the moment it looks like the ACC should deserve seven bids. Duke, Louisville, North Carolina, Notre Dame and Virginia are all safe. The last two spots are, for now, filled in by a reeling Miami squad and an inconsistent Syracuse. Teams like North Carolina State and Pitt are hoping to take advantage of either Syracuse or Miami slipping, but both need to add a couple more resume building wins over those top five teams in the ACC between now and Selection Sunday.
