Stanford Men's College Basketball

Last Eight In: Tulsa, Tennessee, Saint Mary’s, George Washington, Wyoming, Georgetown, St. John’s, Indiana

First Eight Out: Oklahoma State, Rhode Island, North Carolina State, Xavier, Texas A&M, Minnesota, Temple, Nebraska

It was supposed to be one of the big games in the Pac-12, but Arizona absolutely crushed Utah on Saturday. The Wildcats ended up winning 69-51. Those two are now sitting at 4-1, tied atop the conference standings along with Stanford. The Cardinal won at California last week and went out of conference to beat up on Connecticut. Perhaps the more interesting contest is coming up on Thursday night when Arizona heads to Stanford. Certainly the Utes are a strong squad and they will have another shot at Arizona on February 28th, but do not overlook the Cardinal and their potential to knock Arizona off of their perch. Chasson Randle scored 48 points during Stanford’s two wins and even Arizona’s stingy defense will have trouble with him.
