11/9 Women's Soccer Bracketology Breakdown

Florida State Women's Soccer

Last Four In: Texas, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Colorado

First Four Out: Boston College, Illinois, Georgia, Alabama

The conference tournament frenzy has come to a close in women’s college soccer with championship Sunday now in the books. For the most part in the major conferences the favored teams took care of business. That was the case in the ACC, SEC, Big 12 and Big Ten. Dayton in the Atlantic 10 Conference upset LaSalle in the championship game. The Explorers have an RPI in the Top 25, so they will be a very intriguing story to watch on Selection Monday. The depth of the Big 12 should give them an extra team in the tournament with Texas sneaking in with a solid RPI in the top 40. While in the Big Ten, Illinois has an RPI down in the mid-60s, so it is going to be a challenge for them to get an at-large bid. Overall, this should be one of the more balanced fields in regard to the amount bids per conference out of the power five conferences in a very long time.
