10/27 Women's Soccer Bracketology Breakdown

Stanford Women's College Soccer

Last Four In: Colorado, Santa Clara, Missouri, Minnesota

First Four Out: Duke, Ole Miss, Maryland, Texas

The Pac-12 continues its surge toward overtaking the ACC as the top conference in women’s college soccer this season. UCLA and Stanford are really getting in a rhythm offensively. Washington State and Washington have come on strong as the season has gone along. Meanwhile, the ACC is finally paying the price for having a bloated oversized conference. They are on track for only getting seven teams in the NCAA Tournament. The struggles of Duke and Wake Forest have hurt the conference this season. South Carolina got a huge draw against Texas A&M to set up a dramatic finish in the SEC next week. West Virginia continues its run of Big 12 championships after beating Oklahoma on Sunday. The Mountaineers have done enough to warrant a national seed this season. Finally, Penn State and Wisconsin in the Big Ten have clearly established themselves as tough outs for anyone they face in the NCAA Tournament with the way both teams play defensively.
