Dario Saric NBA Draft Profile

Dario Saric, Small Forward, Croatia

Overview:

Dario Saric has been on everybody’s radar for a long, long time. He started playing professionally at the age of 15. His club career has been terribly inconsistent, but he is still a young player who will be eligible for the 2013 NBA Draft.

The 6-10 small forward has saved his best performances for Croatia at a variety of tournaments. His play in the States at various camps has given NBA scouts plenty of opportunities to see him in action and there is not too much bad to say about him.

Final Projection:

Saric is an amazingly versatile player who sees the floor very well and can handle the ball. He is athletic and quick and can knock down shots from anywhere on the floor. However, his shot has been inconsistent at times and that is a big concern. Saric also lacks the strength he will need to play like a typical small forward in the NBA. In Europe his point-forward abilities are enough to make him excel at every level, but NBA teams will want to make sure they can add some strength to his big frame so he can get to the basket and finish. If the NBA believes he can become that player, he could be a top five pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. He should not fall past the lottery either way.
