C.J. Mosley NFL Draft Profile

C.J. Mosley NFL Draft Profile

C.J. Mosley, Junior, Linebacker, Alabama

Overview:

As an underclassman, C.J. Mosley made a big impact on Alabama’s defense. Despite just starting three games as a freshman, Mosley ranked third on the team with 67 tackles. He even returned two interceptions for touchdowns. Mosley was just a part-time starter again as a sophomore. The 6-2 linebacker was not as productive in 2011, tallying 37 tackles. But he again made some big plays.

Mosley is expected to step into an even bigger role as an upperclassman. He is a versatile inside linebacker who can get to the quarterback and drop back in coverage. The Crimson Tide has a history of developing superb inside linebackers and Mosley is next in line.

Final Projection:

If Mosley lives up to his potential, he could be a first round talent after his junior year and consider entering the 2013 NFL Draft. And based on the talent around him, Mosley should have a great season and his draft stock will rise.
