1/31 Women's Basketball Bracketology Breakdown

Last Eight In: Rutgers, Seton Hall, San Diego, Nebraska, Duquesne, USC, North Carolina State, Iowa

First Eight Out: Oregon, St. Bonaventure, Georgia, Utah, St. Mary’s, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Western Kentucky

The race for the Big Ten title will likely come down to Maryland and Ohio State, but the race for NCAA Tournament bids is getting very interesting. Even assuming Michigan State and Purdue are locks, the bubble is absolutely full of Big Ten teams. Iowa, Nebraska and Rutgers round out our current projected field, but all have a lot of work left to do and are among our last eight teams in. Minnesota was making a strong push until their loss to Michigan on Sunday. They should still be considered a bubble team though. And then there is Northwestern, who has time to turn around their horrid start to Big Ten play. In the end, the Big Ten will probably be looking at six or seven teams, but it could be as low as four if things go horribly wrong.
