Week 6 Football Bowl Projection Breakdown
We expected some upsets with so many quality match-ups this week, but our projected playoffs have been scrambled after losses by Oregon, Alabama and Oklahoma. Florida State was the only team to survive and they have still looked extremely vulnerable. Joining the Seminoles in the playoffs are Notre Dame, Auburn and Michigan State. The Irish still have to hit the road and face Florida State and USC, but the Notre Dame defense can get the job done on the road. Auburn absolutely destroyed LSU and appear to be the team to beat in the brutal SEC West. Ole Miss and Mississippi State will get their chance to prove that statement wrong. But even a one loss Auburn team deserves a playoff spot if they can win the SEC title. Michigan State could very easily cruise through the Big Ten after beating Nebraska. The toughest contest should come at home against Ohio State.
