Week 6 FCS Football Bracketology Breakdown

Last Four In: Towson, Stony Brook, South Dakota, Montana State

First Six Out: East Tennessee State, Idaho State, Central Arkansas, Missouri State, Northern Iowa, Delaware

No bids changed hands between conferences this week. A few teams fell off and were replaced though. South Dakota basically took their spot by beating, and replacing, Missouri State. Towson jumped onto the tree by beating Stony Brook. They took a fellow CAA member’s spot, Villanova, who lost to Maine.

The big news did come from the Colonial, where Elon takes over as the automatic projection, after their win at James Madison. We’ve also gone back to Bryant as the automatic in the Northeast, as they are undefeated in conference play and former incumbent, Sacred Heart has lost consecutive games. Some other close calls caused some seed shifting. Namely South Dakota State’s and McNeese’s narrow wins against weaker conference foes.
