A few top ten teams had rough weeks. Texas Tech lost twice, to Texas and Iowa State. Both of those contests were on the road, but the Red Raiders offense managed to score just 110 points combined in the two games. Fellow Big 12 team Oklahoma also lost twice on the road at Kansas State and Oklahoma State. Trae Young still managed to score a ton of points, including 48 of the team’s 81 points in the overtime loss to the Cowboys, but he did not get enough help. Perhaps the biggest surprise was in the AAC where Wichita State was shocked by SMU at home and lost by 14 at Houston.
