3/5 Men's Basketball Bracketology Breakdown

Last Eight In: Rhode Island, USC, Syracuse, Providence, Illinois State, Kansas State, Wake Forest, Marquette

First Eight Out: Vanderbilt, Xavier, California, Houston, Utah, Iowa, Mississippi, Illinois

One of the big winners on Saturdays was Vanderbilt. Weeks ago it appeared as though some team in the SEC had to make a run and separate themselves from the pack. It turns out that team was Vanderbilt. The Commodores came back to beat Florida 73-71 and are now the first team out of our projected bracket. As other teams continue to falter, the Vanderbilt resume will start to look better and better. However, this team does need to beat Texas A&M on Thursday in the SEC Tournament. With a win their, they will face the Gators again and win or lose, that is an RPI boosting game.
