The Big East had another great week. On Saturday alone Villanova beat Notre Dame, Xavier snuck past Utah and Butler knocked off Cincinnati. The Bulldogs lost their first game of the season earlier in the week at Indiana State. Those three teams are looking great for a high seed come tournament time. Like Villanova, Creighton is also a perfect 10-0 and eyeing a very high seed in March. But, of course, there is a long way to go. The Big East conference slate begins on December 28th and it should be a very interesting and hard fought season. Teams like Providence and Seton Hall will have to pull off some big wins to stay on the right side of the bubble, but the conference’s strong RPI could lead to six teams in the NCAA Tournament.
