Stanford is making its 18th trip to the Elite Eight and 10th in the last 13 years when its all-Pac-12 matchup with Washington marks a first since 1992, the last year two Pac-12 schools met in the Elite Eight. Stanford got here by stunning Notre Dame thanks to Erica McCall's career-high 27 points. The Stanford win broke a Fighting Irish 26-game winning streak. The Cardinal shot extremely well, hitting on identical 55% overall and from three-point land. This is the third trip for the Huskies to the Elite Eight and first since 2001. They will be looking to make their first-ever Final Four. Washington got here thanks to its second upset in a row, this time beating Kentucky on its home floor behind 30 points from Talia Walton, Kelsey Plum's 23 points and seven assists and Chantel Osahor's 19 points, 17 rebounds and five assists. The win was the 25th of the year, marking the highest win total  since 1995, when the team also won 25 games. The teams met twice during the season, with the Cardinal taking a game at home, while Washington won at the Pac-12 Tournament.
