The bubble keeps adding teams. UTEP’s loss to Old Dominion puts the Miners on the wrong side of the bubble. They really needed to reach the finals to have a serious chance at earning an at-large bid. The bubble had a collective sigh of relief on Friday when Colorado State hit a couple late free-throws to earn the Mountain West automatic bid. Colorado State would have been 30-2 and on the bubble had they lost to Fresno State. The other interesting team is Arkansas State. They finished the year 26-5 and lost to a red hot Troy team on Friday in the semifinals of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. The strength of schedule is just too soft for the gaudy 26-5 record to do Arkansas State any good though when it comes to getting an at-large bid. Heading into Sunday, there are a couple games left for bubble teams to worry about. Green Bay is coming off of a thrilling double overtime semifinal win over Northern Kentucky on Saturday and should be in either way, although it will be close if they lose. Florida Gulf Coast is also in action on Sunday and face Jacksonville in the Atlantic Sun final. Jacksonville is the only team in the conference that has given FGCU trouble this season and a loss would probably find FGCU on the wrong side of the bubble.
