Last Eight In: Saint Mary’s, St. Bonaventure, Iowa, Auburn, Georgia, Indiana, Purdue, Missouri
First Eight Out: Kansas State, Duke, Temple, Minnesota, Santa Clara, Villanova, Rutgers, Western Kentucky
Most of the major conference tournaments came and went without the bubble losing any spots. The AAC, Big 12 and Big East will finish up this week, but there are not many opportunities left for surprise teams to come in and win those tournaments. That means all eyes are now on the smaller conferences as teams sweating it out on the bubble hope that teams like Green Bay take care of business and keep the Horizon League as a one-bid conference. One team that can play its way off of the bubble still Saint Mary’s. The Gaels take on San Francisco in the semifinals on Monday and either Santa Clara or BYU if they can beat the Dons. Santa Clara is in the mix for an at-large too and beating BYU would certainly help. However, if they do not get the automatic bid, it is hard to see Santa Clara losing in the finals and being the third WCC team in the NCAA Tournament.
