James Madison Softball Action

Last Four In: Long Beach State, UCF, Oregon State, Tulsa

First Four Out: Texas Tech, North Carolina, Florida Gulf Coast, South Florida

Washington knocked off Michigan in dramatic fashion on Sunday as the Huskies won 6-5 thanks to a sacrifice fly by Courtney Gano in the bottom of the 7th Inning. Florida continues to stay hot thanks to great pitching in wins over UCLA, Washington and Utah. Alabama is continuing to make a statement that they are going to have something to say about the SEC race after beating Arizona twice and Tennessee in Tuscaloosa as part of the Easton Bama Bash. Tulsa has played its way into the NCAA Tournament conversation as Caitlin Sill shutout Texas down in Austin twice this weekend. Minnesota head coach Jessica Allister got her 200th career win on Saturday at the Diamond Devils Invitational as the Golden Gophers got back on track this weekend. Finally, keep an eye on Notre Dame. They are a legitimate threat to overtake Florida State and win the Atlantic Coast Conference regular season championship.
