First Eight Out: Alabama, Liberty, Maryland, Memphis, Missouri, UNC Wilmington, South Carolina, UCF
There was a lot of movement on the bubble over weekend. As a whole, the Big Ten bubble teams hurt themselves as Maryland, Michigan State and Ohio State dropped series to weaken their resumes. Ohio State should still be in but Maryland and MSU are squarely on the bubble for the tournament. Liberty dropped a series to High Point, UCF lost to South Florida and Memphis fell to Tulane to fall outside the field. Missouri is an interesting bubble team, as they have the second best strength of schedule in the country, but they lost a crucial series to Kentucky that could keep them out of the field.
While there were a lot of teams that hurt themselves, three made big jumps. Indiana swept Ohio State and now find themselves in the field. Southern Mississippi joins them after an impressive series win over Middle Tennessee. Clemson probably had the best weekend of any team, sweeping Florida State, but they still have work to do to get off the bubble and into the field. With conference tournaments starting up this week, it's crunch time for bubble teams.
