Sooner or later the bubble will shrink because of an upset or two along the way. So far, with teams like Northern Iowa and Gonzaga winning their conference tournaments, the bubble has been safe. It will happen, but there really are not too many other opportunities left. It is pretty safe to say that a team like Florida State isn’t going to run the table and win the ACC title. The Pac-12, with just three teams safely in the tournament and a history of upsets, is one conference to watch. The other likely spots for a team to come out of nowhere and win their conference tournament is in the A-10 and MWC. As good as Davidson, Dayton and VCU may be, Rhode Island, Richmond and George Washington are certainly capable of stringing together a few quality wins and earn an automatic bid to NCAA Tournament.
