2/8 Men's Basketball Bracketology Breakdown

Oklahoma State Men's College Basketball

Last Eight In: Tulsa, Saint Mary’s, George Washington, Georgia, Cincinnati, Wyoming, St. John’s, Providence

First Eight Out: Rhode Island, Mississippi, Seton Hall, Temple, Boise State, Alabama, Western Kentucky, North Carolina State

Saturday saw some upsets, most noticeably road losses by top ten Arizona and Kansas at the hands of Arizona State and Oklahoma State, respectively. The victory for the Sun Devils highlights an otherwise forgettable season. They now have a 12-11 overall record and are almost certainly too far gone to earn an at-large bid no matter what happens the rest of the way. For the Cowboys, who also beat Texas on the road this week, the quality wins have propelled them into the NCAA Tournament. It still may be asking a bit much from the Big 12 to get seven teams into the NCAA Tournament, but it is getting tougher to keep any one of them out. If anybody is going to fall out of the tournament picture, it looks like it could be Texas. However, the Longhorns did put an end to their four game skid and have plenty of opportunities to crawl back up the Big 12 standings.
