1/18 Women's Basketball Bracketology Breakdown

Kentucky Women's College Basketball

Last Eight In: Quinnipiac, Michigan, Mississippi, St. John’s, Tulane, South Florida, George Washington, Miami

First Eight Out: Virginia, Ohio State, Gonzaga, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Fresno State, Northwestern, Middle Tennessee

As if the SEC was not interesting enough this year, the injury to Kentucky point guard Janee Thompson has added more intrigue. She is out for the year and the Wildcats are trying to move on without their star point guard. Kentucky was able to beat Florida at home on Thursday night, but not have their floor leader was problematic on the road against LSU on Sunday afternoon. For now we still have Kentucky as a #3 seed, but they could fall quickly if the toughness of the SEC slate catches up to them over the next couple of weeks.
