Week 13 Football Bowl Projection Breakdown

As it looks more and more like Mississippi State should beat Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl, the more and more it seems like this little selection committee thing is going to turn into a disaster. There should not be much of an argument against Florida State, Alabama and Oregon getting in assuming they win out. That is quite an assumption though. But after that it is a mess. TCU and Baylor are likely one loss teams and would possibly be the most deserving one loss teams as well. But Ohio State will be there and they will have a Big Ten championship win over Wisconsin or Minnesota. And that extra game will help out even their weak strength of schedule compared to the other one loss teams. And then there is Mississippi State. They would be a one loss team as well, but won’t play in the SEC title game. Everything has shaken out nicely for the SEC to get two teams in the playoffs though. Surely, not all of those teams will end with one loss (or none in the case of FSU), but it looks very likely that the committee will have to separate a lucky #4 and a deserving #5.
