Week 12 Football Bowl Projection Breakdown

The SEC has finally shaken out the way we have been expecting. Alabama knocked off Mississippi State and now the Tide control their own destiny. The Bulldogs are still in the playoff picture and are certainly one of the four teams deserving of a playoff spot right now, but we still think they will lose the Egg Bowl at Ole Miss. That second loss will knock them out of the playoffs, but Mississippi State will still earn a berth to a major bowl.

We also have 77 projected bowl eligible teams for the 76 spots. South Alabama fans can blame Northwestern’s win over Notre Dame for knocking the six win Jaguars out of the bowl picture for now. USA will likely end up with six wins with South Carolina and Navy left on the schedule. Northwestern is just 4-6, but they finish up against Purdue and Illinois and should be able to win those two.
