| Kansas | A talented recruiting class adds to Kansas' immense talent. Yet, the Big 12 title race could be more fun than usual.
| Ohio State | The Buckeyes are reloaded and ready to compete for a Big Ten title. A more consistent offense would help though.
| Gonzaga | If the depth in the paint comes around, this could be the best Gonzaga team we've seen in a while.
| Texas | Texas returns everybody from a very young team that won an NCAA Tournament game.
| Villanova | Villanova had a great season last year, yet could not win those big games. Somebody has to step up this year.

| Wichita State | The Shockers return a lot of talent from last year's amazing team. A high seed in the tournament is coming.
| Louisville | Louisville is off to the ACC where they will have to get used to losing more. They won't lose too much though.
| Virginia | It all came together for Virginia last season and Coach Tony Bennett's system is now in place.
| Michigan State | It seems like Coach Tom Izzo puts together his best teams when expectations are low. Expectations are low.
| Oklahoma | The Sooners have put together a team that should get back to the NCAA Tournament. And maybe they can do more.
| VCU | VCU may still be reeling from their first round NCAA upset loss, yet in the end that will make them stronger.

| Iowa | Iowa was up and down last season, but the hope is more experience leads to more consistent play.
| Stanford | This is the most talent Coach Johnny Dawkins has had at Stanford and that is coming off of an Sweet 16 apperance.
| San Diego State | If Winston Shephard is ready to step up, the Aztecs will be favored in the MWC and make another NCAA run.
| Connecticut | Connecticut needs to replace Shabazz Napier, but this team has a nice record of replacing superstars. |
