Keisha Hampton, Senior, Forward, DePaul

DePaul Team Page

Overview:

Hampton has been the model of consistency for DePaul. She has started every game since arriving on campus. In 2008-09, Hampton made the Big East All-Freshman team, and was named Big East Freshman of the Week twice for the first time in Blue Demon basketball history.  She scored 10.4 points per game, and chipped in 4.6 rebounds per game as a freshman. Her sophomore campaign in 2009-10 was even stronger as she led DePaul in scoring and from three point range at 33.7 percent. She was All-Academic Big East for the second year in a row as well to go along with second team all-Big East.

In 2010-11, Hampton continued her improvement by bumping her scoring up to a team leading 16.0 points per contest in propelling the Blue Demons to a Sweet 16 appearance in the Philadelphia Regional. She also posted a career high 31 point performance against Notre Dame in March 2011.

Final Projection:

Keisha has gotten better and better with each year of her career and her senior season should not be any different. The game plan for Hampton is very straightforward and that is to stay healthy like she has the past three years, take advantage of the powerful Big East schedule and the showcases she will have to elevate her draft position and continue to be a difficult versatile threat both offensively and defensively.
