Sasha Goodlett WNBA Draft Profile

Sasha Goodlet, Senior, Center, Georgia Tech

 Georgia Tech Team Page

Overview:

Sasha Goodlett made an immediate impact as a freshman. She showed right away that she has great touch around the basket. Also, on the defensive side, Goodlett held all-American Courtney Paris to only her eighth game without a double double. Sasha averaged 6.3 points and 3.7 boards. In 2009-10, Goodlett started to flourish more offensively bumping her scoring up to just nine points per game. Moreover, the groundwork for continued improvement was laid and teams had to account for her, along with Alex Montgomery, for Georgia Tech.

In 2010-11 Goodlett got her highest amount of playing time, started 32 games, led the team in blocked shots and averaged 9.9 points per game in a very consistent season where Georgia Tech made it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Final Projection:

You can’t teach height and at 6-5, the potential upside for Goodlett is very high. She has steadily improved her play each season and I would suspect with the departure of Alex Montgomery that her role for the Lady Yellow Jackets will only increase down in the post as Georgia Tech looks to return to the NCAA Tournament in an always difficult ACC conference.
