Last Four In: Florida International, Iowa State, North Texas, North Carolina State
First Four Out: Hofstra, Virginia Tech, East Carolina, Samford
Big Ten play started last week and the Northwestern vs. Wisconsin series was one to watch. The Wildcats are off to a great start, while the Badgers have limped to a disappointing record so far. Conference play is a great time to turn things around. However, Northwestern took two of three and it appears, at least for now, that Northwestern is here to stay. The other big opening weekend series was Minnesota heading to Nebraska. The potent Golden Gophers took the first two games with ease before falling 3-2 in the finale. Nebraska’s schedule stays tough with a trip to Evanston this weekend.
