First Eight Out: San Diego, Arkansas, Iona, Indiana, Minnesota, Southern Miss, Washington, Creighton
At some point most assumed that South Carolina would fall victim to the brutal SEC. But going to Lexington and coming away with a 81-58 win, the Gamecocks now look practically unbeatable. This team can finish out the regular season at 15-1 in SEC play and have the talent to sweep through the conference tournament. If that happens, South Carolina will certainly be a #1 seed. But even a loss along the way should keep this group on the top line come selection day. They deserve it, but teams like Baylor, Duke and Louisville are right on their heels.
