Iowa played their way into the tournament discussion by getting a very critical win over Michigan in the Big Ten Quarterfinal on Wednesday. By getting a signature win and with the increased strength of the Big Ten this year, the Hawkeye should be in. Oklahoma State also helped their cause by getting a win over a very good Texas side. The Cowgirls have also gotten quality draws at Florida State and at home to Washington State. Arkansas won the key match with Missouri and played well enough to get a result against Florida but fell 1-0 in the SEC Quarterfinals. The Razorbacks have a signature win over Big Ten champ Nebraska, which is among the top ten in RPI. Arizona State, just to be safe, needs to get one more win this week to stay safely in the field come the selection show. A bubble team like Washington can help themselves with a win over Washington State. Teams like Tennessee, Missouri and others will need conference favorites to take care of business to free up at-large bids for them to be in the conversation.
