10/28 Women's Soccer Bracketology Breakdown

Penn State Women's College Soccer

Last Four In: Utah, Missouri, Louisville, Washington

First Four Out: Clemson, Maryland, Memphis, Illinois

The bubble has taken some more twists and turns as Utah got a draw against UCLA and has solidified themselves among the top four of the Pac-12. Louisville has played their way into the tournament by going 8-1-0 in the American Athletic Conference and getting the number two seed, so a result or two in the conference tourney should only help them. Washington, despite their goal scoring troubles, is one of the better defensive teams in the country and thus has played their way into the tournament conversation. Clemson lost another opportunity to boost their tournament resume on Sunday by dropping a home match to Notre Dame. They have work to do, along with Maryland in the ACC, as the after effects of the expanded league are beginning to take its toll. Memphis had a disappointing finish to the conference slate and they will be in the position of needing to win the conference tourney to get into the NCAA Tournament.
