9/16 Men's Soccer Bracketology Breakdown

Louisville Men's College Soccer

Last Four In: UC Irvine, Marquette, Furman, Cal Poly

First Four Out: Northeastern, Old Dominion, Providence, SMU

It was another big week for the Big West. Cal State Northridge got the best win, knocking off New Mexico 3-2 in Albuquerque. The Matadors are now 6-0-0. The Anteaters of UC Irvine also got a great road win at Louisville and have moved themselves into the bracket. Cal Poly added a couple more wins and found the back of the net nine times in two games this past week. UCSB fell at UCLA, but are always a dangerous team. With UC Riverside and UC Davis sporting some quality results, the Big West is going to be exciting to watch when conference play begins in a couple of weeks. There is not room for all of those teams in the NCAA Tournament, but the Big West could get three or four dangerous teams in the tournament.
