Sean Okoli MLS Draft Profile

Sean Okoli, Junior, Forward, Wake Forest

Overview:

Sean Okoli arrived in Wake Forest in 2011 from Federal Way, Washington. Okoli, wearing number nine, led the Demon Deacons last season with 25 points tallying 11 goals and three assists. The junior played in all 20 games last season just like his freshman season before when he played in all 21 matches. In just the past two seasons he has recorded over 3000 minutes on the pitch for the Deacons, proving his worth taking 42 shots on goal out of 91 total shots making his SOG percentage almost .500.

But Okoli hasn’t just shined in college. He was also part of the U.S. U-18 National Team and traveled to Portugal, Argentina, and Israel with the squad. He has spent time with the Seattle Sounders Academy and became the first Sounders Academy player to record minutes with the Sounders’ reserve team.

Final Projection:

Sean Okoli, like many other players for Wake Forest, has skill on the pitch and it shows by his extensive resume. He will most likely be the number one scorer for the Deacons a second year in a row and has shown he can handle the pressure of playing in every match. Another outstanding performance makes him a target of the pros.
