Overview:
Iowa native Chelsea Thomas is another who will not be unfamiliar to NPF teams. A redshirt senior, Thomas won her second consecutive Big 12 Pitcher of the Year in 2012. She collected 306 strikeouts with an opponent’s batting average at a paltry .162. Thomas had 27 wins and 12 shutouts.
Final Projection:
With Team USA experience, Thomas could be on a mission in 2013 as Missouri changes scenery. The Big 12 in the rear-view mirror and the Southeastern Conference ahead, she was passed over for Jackie Traina and Rachele Fico on the pre-season all SEC team.
