Jessica Shults NPF Draft Profile

Jessica Shults, Senior, Catcher, Oklahoma
Throws: Right, Bats: Left

Overview:

Shults is the preeminent power hitting catcher in collegiate softball today. With 20 home runs, 12 doubles and 65 RBI’s, Shults’ .378 batting average supplied much of the Sooner’s run to the CWS Finals. Her impressive .731 slugging percentage is tops all time in Oklahoma history. A 2012 First Team All-American, among a multitude of honors, Shults will again be one half of what many consider to be the best battery in the country.

Final Projection:

Jessica Shults will be no stranger in the draft, as she helped Team USA to a Silver Medal in the ISF Championships and also appeared for the World Cup Team USA Champions. NPF teams will not question Shults’ skills, but just as importantly can rest assured that the NPF stage is not too big for her. Shults not only has big game experience, but big game success.
