Bacarri Rambo NFL Draft Profile

Bacarri Rambo NFL Draft Profile

Bacarri Rambo, Senior, Safety, Georgia

Overview:

Bacarri Rambo is the unquestioned leader of a Georgia secondary that was pretty darned good all season.  Interestingly enough, he was suspended for the first four games of the season, but that did not dissuade people from watching such a talent play football.  He had 68 tackles and one sack this season in just nine games.  More than anything, Rambo is known to be a ball hawk with incredible athletic skill.  In the last six games, he had three interceptions.  He also forced three fumbles throughout the season, including two against hated rival Georgia Tech.  He has size, speed, and great hands, all of which are qualities of a great safety.

Final Projection:

Rambo had a good game against Alabama in the SEC championship, though the Bulldogs lost.  As it stands now, he could be one of the first safeties taken off the board in next April’s draft.  At 6-ft. and 210 pounds he has pretty good size.  He would most likely stay at defensive back at the next level.  He has the goods to be taken somewhere in the early to late second round.  Disciplinary problems in his past may drop him a good deal though.  Coaches will have to determine if he has put everything behind him.
