Brandon Triche NBA Draft Profile

Brandon Triche NBA Draft Profile

Brandon Triche, Senior, Point Guard, Syracuse

Overview:

Brandon Triche often gets overlooked at Syracuse. Whether it be Kris Joseph, Dion Waiters, Fab Melo or all three, somebody else usually gets the headlines. Triche has been a solid starter for the Orange. In fact he has started all 107 games he has played in during his first three seasons under the tutelage of Coach Jim Boeheim.

Triche is a decent shooter and a solid all-around scorer. Last year he was third on the team with 9.4 points per game. He was also the secondary ball handler during his junior campaign and dished out 2.6 assists per contest. His senior season will tell us if he has a future in the NBA.

Final Projection:

Triche is just 6-3 and that makes him a point guard in the NBA. But heading into his senior season, he has not been the starting point guard in college. That is expected to change in 2012-2013 as Triche will likely take over the starting point guard role for the Orange. He will have to prove that he can handle that job; otherwise he is an undersized shooting guard who is not that great of a shooter.
