Ryan Tannehill NFL Draft Profile

Texas A&M College Football 2012 NFL Draft Profile Ryan Tannehill

Ryan Tannehill, Senior, Quarterback, Texas A&M

Overview:

Ryan Tannehill is a very gifted athlete. He has outstanding size and an arm that is both strong and accurate. He played wide receiver for much of his collegiate career before making the transition to starting quarterback, where he blossomed. In his senior season, which ended with Tannehill guiding the Aggies to a bowl victory over Northwestern, he threw for nearly 4,000 yards and 29 touchdown strikes. He completed an impressive 61.6 percent of his passes as well. He prefers to be a pocket passer, but has shown flashes of his ability to escape pressure and do damage with his legs.

Final Projection:

There is no doubt that Tannehill is a first round pick. Quarterbacks always are sniped early, so the real question is just how high could Tannehill go? But with his excellent athleticism, good arm, and ideal size expect his name to be called early on draft day.
