Overview:

Before this year started, Robert Griffin III was mentioned in passing by most college football fans. But in his junior season he broke onto the scene in a big way, propelling the Baylor Bears to their best season in recent memory. He is the most decorated player in the nation, taking home the biggest trophy of all, the 2011 Heisman. On top of that, Griffin is a Davey O'Brien Award winner, Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award finalist, Walter Camp award finalist, Wuerffel Trophy finalist, Maxwell Award semifinalist, Manning award watch list, and part of the 2011 All State AFCA Good Works Team. He even earned the nickname, RG3. When it comes to football, Griffin is the best as they come. He is an outstanding athlete, smart, accurate, and posses good arm strength. His high character and work ethic is unquestioned. After guiding the Bears to a thrilling 67-56 bowl victory, Griffin had tossed a grand total of 37 touchdowns and threw for 4,293 yards. He showed off his dual threat ability as well, rushing for an additional 699 yards and tacking on 10 scores. He completed 72.4 percent (291) of his 402 passes on the year.

Final Projection:

Griffin is a lock to be a top 10 selection. He has everything that NFL scouts are looking for as a quarterback. He has all the tools to be successful in the NFL. If not for Andrew Luck, he would likely be in consideration for the top overall selection.

3/17/12 Update:

Griffin shored up his top ten draft status at the NFL Combine. He blew everybody away with his amazing athletic ability. Griffin was great on the field and off the field and many, many teams saw him as their potential franchise quarterback. It was the Redskins who pulled the trigger and traded away the franchise for the second overall pick. Griffin will have a lot of pressure on him in the nation's capital, but he could turn Washington into winners sooner or later.
