Xavier Adds Talented Youth to an Experienced Team

Xavier has a nice group of newcomers to help out Tu Holloway, Mark Lyons, Kenny Frease and company. The guys getting the most attention are transfers Travis Taylor and Andre Walker. And that is understandable as those two will make a huge impact on this year’s team. However, Coach Chris Mack also has some incoming freshmen on campus and Dezmine Wells has the talent and potential to be a big time player for the Musketeers sooner or later.

The experience in front of Wells may lead to a year of learning and playing a few minutes here and there off of the bench, but even if Wells does not have a great freshman campaign, he will be leading the Musketeers to great places for years to come. If you think Xavier is falling off the national radar when Holloway leaves, there are two reasons as to why that will not happen. For one, Xavier is a great program that has a much bigger history than just the last three years with Holloway. And two, you can see for yourself how good Wells can be.
