First Eight Out: Utah, Wake Forest, Michigan, Illinois State, Georgia, Clemson, Texas Tech, Marquette

The top teams fared much better this week compared to last week. There may not have been many big upsets, but there were plenty of big games. Most notable were UCLA’s 82-79 win over Oregon and Duke’s 86-78 victory over North Carolina. The Bruins are still two games behind Arizona in the Pac-12 standings, but the win over the Ducks helped boost what was a relatively bad RPI for a 22-3 team. The Blue Devils have now won five games in a row after their upset home loss to North Carolina State. Duke has another huge game on Wednesday when they take on Virginia on the road. Another win there and Duke could continue to see their seed move higher and higher.
