Saturday was a day of upsets in the ACC. Top 15 teams Florida State, North Carolina and Notre Dame all fell to unranked opponents. Miami dominated the Tar Heels with the help of Bruce Brown’s 30 points. They are pretty safely in the field at this point, but are still sitting at 4-4 in ACC play and cannot afford to fall too far below .500. Syracuse, who beat the Seminoles, and Georgia Tech, who knocked off the Irish, do not have great overall records, but both are now 5-4 in the ACC and not out of the NCAA Tournament picture yet.
