The Pac-12 asserted itself this week as the number one conference, in the RPI at least. They are playing highly competitive games throughout the league. Oregon State and Stanford battled to a 72-69 double-overtime thriller that the Beavers won thanks to 26 points from Sydney Wiese. The win was the first ever for Oregon State at Maples Pavilion and gave the Beavers a very valuable road sweep. Washington and Washington State swept the Los Angeles schools this weekend as the Huskies were on point offensively on Sunday against the Bruins in an 82-70 victory. Oregon scored eight points in the final 12 seconds to steal a huge road win at California 69-66 to send the Golden Bears to their second straight loss. Mississippi State continued to show some great growth as a team and they found a way to win at Tennessee 74-64 on Sunday to move on to 17-0 on the season. The showdown in Columbia against South Carolina on January 23rd could very well go a long way in deciding the SEC regular season championship.
