Week 5 FCS Football Ivy League Breakdown

Georgetown at Harvard – This is the mismatch of the week. Harvard is the best team in the League right now. Georgetown may be the worst team in the country. Harvard can score at will.
Harvard 55, Georgetown 7

Columbia at Princeton - Columbia is the worst team in the Ivies. Again. Princeton just doubled up Lehigh. Chad Kanoff is a very good qb for the Tigers and they have a strong running attack.
Princeton 50, Columbia 20

Colgate at Cornell – This is a traditional rivalry. Both teams are very average this year. Cornell should have beaten Yale, with a large lead early on. Their defense did them in. Cornell 19, Colgate 12

Dartmouth at Penn- The Quakers surprised everyone by beating #5 Villanova last Thursday night, for the first time in years, but the Green have too much firepower, even on the road. Dartmouth 34, Penn 31

Rhode Island at Brown- These are two teams who won't go very far this year. Rhody can't stop anyone on defense and Brown, under the right circumstances, can run it up the gut of a defense. Johnny Pena is shifty at running back for the Bruins. Brown 36, Rhode Island 30

Yale at Lehigh - The Engineers have dominated most Ivies over past years, but not this year. Yale has an NFL style qb in Morgan Roberts and a strong offense. His acumen saved the Blue against Colgate and Cornell, especially in the fourth quarters. Look for the Elis to roll, even on the road. Yale 36, Lehigh 30
