The SEC was on display last week with Texas A&M and LSU squaring off as the top two ranked teams in the country. LSU came away with a walk-off win in the opener and then won on Friday to clinch the series, but Texas A&M avoided the sweep with a win on Saturday. Both teams proved why they were among the top teams in the country during the series and both seem destined for a trip to Omaha. That might have been the big series of the weekend, but some other SEC teams made some noise with impressive weekends. Vanderbilt helped its national seed case with a sweep of Missouri and Arkansas improved its resume with a series win over Mississippi State. The biggest movers were Mississippi and Kentucky though. The Rebels took two of three from fellow bubble team Alabama and move back into the field, while Kentucky joins them in the field following a series win over top ten ranked Florida. With the season coming to a close, the SEC has sorted itself out and now has nine teams looking like they’re regional bound.
