3/8 Women's Basketball Bracketology Breakdown

James Madison Women's College Basketball

Last Eight In: Arkansas State, Duquesne, Arkansas, Iowa State, DePaul, Miami, Pittsburgh, LSU

First Eight Out: Tulane, San Diego, Stetson, Middle Tennessee, West Virginia, Fresno State, Georgia, TCU

The amount of teams on the bubble could grow drastically this week. There are always a couple teams in the smaller conferences that are worthy of a potential at-large berth, but that number seems very big this year. If Florida Gulf Coast, James Madison, Western Kentucky, Arkansas-Little Rock or Green Bay should lose in their conference tournaments, they would still be looking very strong for an NCAA Tournament berth. The West Coast Conference is also a candidate to take a bid away from the field with seemingly most of the conference hanging around on the bubble. The most likely way the WCC gets two teams is if Gonzaga should lose in the final. But the potential is there for the last teams in to quickly move to the first out and teams that feel safe right now to have to sweat it next Monday. Surely most of the favorites will continue to dominate their conference during their respective conference tournaments, but we didn’t think Tennessee State would beat Tennessee-Martin or ETSU would take Chattanooga to overtime either.
